GAP Technology

by lguyot last modified 2006-07-18 09:28

GAP has consistently embraced technology as a means of becoming more efficient academically, financially, and administratively. The GAP Center started out with very basic technology, such as office computers for the administrative staff. Today there is a multitude of technologies in place that affect every aspect of the GAP experience.

GAP established a computer lab as an extension of our commitment to community development. Each computer is equipped with up-to-date office software. The lab is used by staff and parents, providing them with a free resource to communicate with others, take online courses, and perform basic research.

GAP has a state-of-the-art security system, with motion-detecting cameras and digital video recorders. This allows GAP to offer the highest available level of security for both children and staff.

We also have six flat-panel monitors in the administrative office, which allows us to monitor almost every aspect of the center in real-time to ensure that the children are receiving the quality care and education that our parents expect.

Our Multi-Purpose Room is a veritable children’s theater. Images from children’s software as well as educational DVD movies can be projected onto the wall creating a unique learning experience that both the children and their parents enjoy. If you’d like to see a virtual tour please click here.

Rooms throughout the center are wired for network access. Our broadband connection to the Internet uses technology to ensure our network stays protected from outside parties.
